Vektorgrafik
Eine Vektorgrafik lässt sich ohne Qualitätsverlust skalieren oder verändern, weil die Datei für jede Form mathematische Berechnungen enthält. Sie wird meist für nicht fotografische Grafiken wie Logos und Icons verwendet. Ein verbreitetes Format im Web ist SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics), das auf XML beruht.
A vector image can be easily scaled or modified because the file contains mathematical calculations for each shape. It is usually used for non-photographic graphics such as logos and icons. A widespread format on the web is SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics), which is based on XML.
